How healthy is Nutro compared to other brands?
Nutro is an inexpensive dog food formulation containing meal instead of real meat.
Many brands these days use human grade ingredients, which Nutro does not.
It is impossible for Nutro to be described as being human grade dog food.
True, it probably does not share the same price tag either, but there are many other healthy dog foods on the market, if you want an alternative to a brand like Nutro.
In my opinion, Natural Balance dog food is the best choice and it can be purchased at very fair prices.
Natural Balance and Blue Buffalo dog food use higher quality ingredients than Nutro such that they are not in the same category of product.
Nutro is much closer in quality to the dog food brands made by Waltham like Cesar, Chappie, and Pedigree.
Waltham pet foods target nutrition with convenience, as does Nutro.
Although Nutro is an inexpensive food, you may end up paying more than you bargained for in the long run.
The best nutrition that you can give your dog is provided by Bones and Raw Food frozen dog food.
It may be high maintenance for everyone's taste, so you may prefer to choose a brand such as Natural Balance premium dog food is made using only fresh, human-quality ingredients.
This food is rich in nutrients; it is made with protein from top quality meat sources and includes none of the following: by-products, corn, wheat, gluten, soy, artificial flavors, artificial colors, sugars, or artificial preservatives.
Nutro uses wheat, and its meat is not human grade; it can not compete.
The dog food made by Wysong far surpasses the nutrition provided by Nutro--they go so far as to include cage-free pheasant in their formula, and its dried meat products contain an amazing meat content of 99.9%.
The $14 price for the product may be too steep for many consumers however.
Dog food manufactures have to seriously consider the recent food recalls.
Fortunately for Nutro, none of their dry pet food products were recalled.
The recalls did, however, effect many of Nutro's canned dog foods, as well as their feline lines.
